Is nautical nonsense something you like?

Do you find yourself dropping to the ground and flopping like a fish on occasion?

Well, we’re sure you’ll want to after you join the Olympia High School Theatre Arts Department for our final production of the 2023-2024 season.

The story follows SpongeBob SquarePants (Lola Havens: ‘25) as he wakes up to another beautiful Bikini Bottom Day where he works at the best restaurant - The Krusty Krab - owned and operated by Eugene Krabs (Jack Brotherton: ‘25), gets to hang out with his two best friends, Patrick Star (Leo Conklin: ‘24) and Sandy Cheeks (Amelie Kuo: ‘24), his melancholy neighbor Squidward (Matthew Wodka: ‘24), and gets to play with his pet snail, Gary, “meow.”

Little does he know that his pristine underwater oasis is about to be threatened from all sides: Sheldon J. Plankton (Alec Forth: ‘24) working with his computer wife, Karen (Emily Cole: ‘24), is trying to get everyone addicted to his chum burgers. And, worse than that, the local volcano, Mount Humongous, is set to erupt…tomorrow!

Will SpongeBob, Sandy, and Patrick be able to work together to save the day. Or, will the tides of change break this dream team apart? Will SpongeBob prove that he is more than just a simple sponge?

The SpongeBob Musical is Based on the series by Stephen Hillenburg with book by Kyle Jarrow, and original songs.
