I joined the Olympia High School staff in 2007 and I have spent over 25 years in the secondary education field. In addition to coordinating the Peer-Tutoring Program, I work in the AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) Program and as classroom support for grades 9-12. I am glad to be part of the FamOly staff dedicated to the success of each of our students.

The Peer-tutoring Program has been in place since 2008 and it is annually funded by an OSDEF grant,  a community member's generous donation, and building funds. I have the privilege of interviewing and hiring students from a variety of backgrounds and I am always impressed by their willingness to use their knowledge, talents, and abilities in service to others. The tutors become employees of the Olympia School District and use the experience they gain while working in our program toward future college and career endeavors.

This no-cost program for families helps hundreds of students at OHS achieve academic success. Please check out our page!
