CLASS OF 2026 GRADUATION INFORMATION 

 

Graduation Attire: Cap/Gown/2026 Stole/2026 Tassel 

  • Jostens Orders delivered March 20, 2026 during lunches - if you miss pick up you can get it in the Counseling/Career Center by Spring Break, after Spring Break you will have to pick it up from your Counselor.  
  • Second Jostens Order is May 1st. We will have these available for pick up at Day of Intent event.  After Memorial Day you will have to pick it up from your Counselor.  

 

Senior Grad Night June 11th after graduation 930 depart - 6am-ish pick up

GPA Honor Cords - Seniors with a 3.0 or higher cumulative GPA at the end of the first semester of their senior year will have the opportunity to wear an honor cord during the graduation ceremony. Unfortunately we cannot round up on GPAs. Cords are optional and may be purchased in the Main Office or ASB during lunches, before school, and after school. Cost is $8 with card or exact cash.

Gold Honor Cord:       3.750 - 4.000

Silver Honor Cord:     3.500 - 3.749

Bronze Honor Cord:  3.000 - 3.499


SPSCC Running Start Associate Degree candidate cords can only be purchased at 

SPSCC.  

 May 18-19 Testing for grades 9-11 - Seniors have activities & entertainment planned in the gym. 
May 19   Olympia High School Scholarship Recipients Notified
 May 20  Senior Exit Interviews in the Commons - 2:45 - 4pm                              *if you need an alternative time/date you must complete this form.  > ALTERNATE DATE REQUEST (due by May 15th)  
 May 29 Final Senior Meeting in Gym >  BearTime B (*pick up your senior gift BearTime A)- celebration, recognition, graduation & end of year instructions.                      SENIOR CHECK OUT FORMS WILL BE DISTRIBUTED - this is how you get your graduation tickets.
              June 1st

NIGHT OF STARS   Scholarship and award recipients have been notified.  Event will be in the OHS PAC.

5:30pm Alumni Walk of Fame (optional for students)

6pm  Alumni Celebration & Reception

6:30pm  Awards program - OHS Foundation Scholarships will be presented along with Alumni Hall of Fame nominees *invitations will be sent to applicant recipients parent & student

SENIOR CHECK OUT FORMS will be available in the Library, ASB Office, and Main Office on MAY 29th.  Students get signoffs from the following departments: (this list may change*)

  • Library - turn in all textbooks and library books
  • Library - turn in all OSD assigned technology
  • ASB or Main Office - pay all fines and fees 
  • Counseling / College & Career Readiness Center:
    • High School and Beyond Plan MET - Interview, Resume & Tasks
    • Senior Exit Survey completed 
    • SchooLinks Year End Tasks & Alumni Account 
    • Running Start MUST complete:
    • Counseling Center - Obtain this sign off June 9th when you pick up graduation tickets.  
      • Graduation Requirements met

*exception of students who successfully completed CCS102 at SPSCC

  • GRADUATION TICKETS 
  •  Pick up by Graduating Senior only.
  • June 9th after Senior Assembly 12:00 - North Street Entrance outside of Counseling Center
  • To receive tickets students must bring completed Senior Check Off Form
  • Seniors may have up to SIX GRADUATION TICKETS  Tickets are FREE. 
  • Do you need more tickets?   

  • Extra tickets will be given out after Grad Practice on June 11. Students stand in line & obtain one ticket at a time until all tickets are GONE. 

June 3  BACCALAUREATE  This non-denominational celebration will be at a location Grace Community Church 6:30pm.   This event is hosted by the Senior Parents (not OHS).  If you have questions contact olympiapiano.jb at gmail dot com

 June 9

MORNING ACTIVITIES 

  • Elementary School Walk* Students should wear caps & gowns.

  • Senior Breakfast:  Immediately after elementary school walk in the OHS Commons - do not wear cap & gown.  Breakfast starts at 915. Program starts at 9:45. 

  • Senior Assembly:  In the OHS Gym after breakfast.  10:25am - 11:55am 

  • *OHS only schedules elementary school walks with our East Olympia feeder elementary schools, if you went to elementary outside of the east Olympia you can contact your elementary school for information on their scheduled event or attend the event at Pioneer Elementary Walk.

  • GRADUATION PRACTICE FOR STUDENTS AT SAINT MARTIN'S PAVILION
  • Do not be late.  Do NOT wear cap and gown. 
  • Any extra grad tickets are given out after Grad Practice.

June 11

GRADUATION AT SAINT MARTIN'S  
Seniors must arrive by 6:00pm at Saint Martin's in the Worthington Center.  Ceremony starts at 7:00pm.

  • Students - Only bring small items you can keep in pockets.  There is no storage for bags or anything else during the ceremony.  Leave items in the car or give to a parent/guest to hold for you.

  • Seats may not be saved in the Pavilion for guests.  First come, first served.

  • Handicapped seating is available, seated on the floor behind the graduates for the individual and one caregiver.  Handicap passes are given to students when they pick up Grad Tickets.  Handicap Entry is at 6:50pm at ANY DOOR, those with handicap entry can can be escorted by ONE guest.  NO SEATS can be saved. 

  • Students order graduation attire from Jostens.com before May 1st. Any regalia for sale on Graduation Day will be CASH ONLY.

  • Caps can be decorated  YET only OHS approved stoles, cords, and medals can be worn.  Students will be asked to remove other items unless they have been approved by Mr. Grant ahead of time for their cultural celebrations.

  • Balloons, noise makers and leis are not permitted inside the Pavilion.  Save those for afterwards!

  • Saint Martins would like to remind our guests that confetti cannot be used at graduation indoors or outdoors.

Pavilion ceremony will be live streamed on the OSD Facebook Live page Like and follow for updates also check back for photo albums and recording of graduation.

We ask that you do not approach the stage to take photos of your student.

June 11

GRAD NIGHT PARTY  Students will load buses immediately after graduation.  This activity is sponsored by Senior parents.  Questions:  olybearsenior at gmail dot com 

Early July

FINAL TRANCRIPTS will be mailed out.  Students must have their FINAL transcript destination set in SchooLinks & on Senior Exit Survey prior to receiving graduation tickets. 

 

DIPLOMAS

Seniors do not receive their diplomas at the Graduation Ceremony;  they will be handed only the diploma cover as they walk across the stage. Diplomas will be mailed to  address student provides on the SENIOR EXIT FORM.  BE SURE YOUR ADDRESS IS CORRECT, any diplomas that have to be re-sent will be charged. 

 

GRADUATION ATTIRE  > Video 

  • Students in the graduation ceremony wear Jostens graduation attire ~ navy blue caps and gowns, tassels, and a 2026 white stole.

  • If you are still in need of Jostens items,  you must contact your COUNSELOR. Nothing will be available for sale on Graduation day. 

  • The only ornamentations allowed are OHS approved cords and medallions.

  • Students are allowed to decorate their caps, yet keep within school dress code guidelines

  • Students may not wear or carry leis, flowers, or any other decoration during the ceremony. *See Principal Grant for cultural exceptions.
