Well ... it’s Monday, and you’re getting an OlyWay so that either means I have something GOOD to share or ... that last week just got away from me!! Also, if kicking off November with TWO fire alarms within an hour of getting to school is any indication of how this month is going to go? We are going to EARN the vacation days this month!
Thankfully, our Support Service Center really does go the extra mile—or in this case, the extra height—to keep us INSIDE on these cold and damp mornings! As you can see in the picture, Jason L., our electrician AND an OHS parent, went up-up-up to the tippy top of our library atrium! Jason? Thank you! We appreciate you taking care of our building and all the people in it ... and I’m especially thankful that being up there is your job and not mine!
Today also marks the beginning of our
rolling start to the winter sports season! Girls Bowling takes to the lanes today, and the rest of our winter sports will follow in two weeks. Athletes?
Get your sports clearance completed NOW so you can participate on the very first day of tryouts! Interested in seeing what we offer or finding out how to get cleared? Head to our
OHS website > Athletics > Sports Clearance Process for the details!
And while winter sports are getting started, our FALL teams are still running, passing and spiking their way toward State! Good luck to all our Bears competing in the postseason! We’re cheering you on and are so proud of the work you’ve put into your seasons!
With that? Here’s to a November filled with good things, a little laughter, and hopefully fewer reasons to stand outside in the cold! Thank you for being part of our FamOly and for sharing your students with us. Even when the week gets away from me, they keep reminding me why I love being here!
~Wendy Rae, who is hoping the rest of November is a little less ... alarming!
