Olympia High School Career Center

Our goal as a Career Center is to have all students leave Olympia High School college and career ready. Success in the new economy requires a combination of academic knowledge and technical ability. It includes self and career exploration - the combination of interests/abilities & education/training. College & Career Readiness includes assisting students in creating a well-articulated plan for post-secondary training and providing supports to ensure success. 


What do we do?

The Career Center is an in-school resource for both OHS students and their parents. We offer information regarding a wide variety of subjects, including: Career Exploration and Future Planning, College Information, Financial Aid Information, Volunteer and Employment Opportunities.

Career Exploration - Assessments, Field Trips, Job Shadow, Career Cruising
Future Planning & College Prep - Preparation for Adulthood, Post high school Pathways: Apprenticeships, Military, College alternatives, 4-year public and private institutions and 2-year vocational and technical schools.  

Financial Aid Information - Financing Your Future, fiscal responsibility, FAFSA completion
Volunteer and Employment Opportunities - R
esumes, cover letters, and interview assistance.
The Career Center is also a resource area for career exploration books, self-help books, SAT and ACT study guides, college and scholarship resource books, and applications readily available to the student body.
