LIGHTING

There are 2 systems for controlling the stage lighting in the PAC.

Stage Manager's Panel (SMP) lighting control - Very basic lighting can be accomplished using the controls on the SMP located stage left. This does not require any knowledge of computerized lighting control. It is limited to general front light (with limited area control) down stage and one special (spotlight) for a lectern or other use. Instructions for use of this system can be found HERE.

Computerized Console - The PAC has a Strand 550i lighting control console for. This is a specialized piece of equipment that requires some knowledge of lighting system control.

Below are step-by step introductions to the most common functions and useful displays on the Strand 550i lighting console. This is the best starting point for anyone with minimal background in computerized lighting consoles.

Book 2: 550i Using Presets

Basic Programming - Instructions for the most basic programming of lights using the Strand 550i lighting console. Intended as a follow-up to Console Basics, some familiarity with the console is useful.

The following manuals supplied by the manufacturer assume a fair amount of familiarity with stage lighting. They are not for the faint of heart!
