Homeless Backpacks provides food to homeless, hungry
and at-risk students in Thurston County. Volunteers help
sort and pack food, hold food drives and special events, maintain
office and yard, etc.

deliveries. Helpers needed on Wednesdays and Saturdays during
open hours—set up at 8:00 a.m. and clean up at closing.

The Thurston County Food Bank serves over 22,000 hungry families each year. Volunteers are needed to sort and distribute food. Some standing/lifting required.

Locations in east and west Olympia
Learn about retailing and cooperative businesses through short- or long-term volunteering with the Olympia Food Co-op. Gain skills and experience for future jobs. After 3 months of service, we can draft a letter of recommendation for the volunteer. Positions include: cashier, grocery stocking, box stocking, courtesy clerk.
Must be 16+ or age 8-15 with parent authorization form.
