Vital Dates for Fall 2008 (pdf)

For Single Semester CPO Classes Only


These are target dates for completion of the culminating project. While these dates are not set in stone (except for the presentation date), and individual class pace may require small adjustments, it is suggested that classes adhere to this guideline (at least within a few days).

September 3:
First Day of 1st Semester.

October 3:
Draft Project Proposals due.

October 17
: Formal Project Proposals Due.

October 17-November 26: Project Activities: Research, documentation, and product creation.

Ongoing: Journal is reviewed and evaluated by Supervising Teacher.

November 21: Deadline to submit Addenda to proposals. No project changes after this date.

December 5: Final Product, should be complete and turned in--any exceptions must be cleared with the Supervising Teacher (i.e. Events planned for later dates, etc. If not complete, Product should show significant progress and be very near completion.

January 7: Product/documentation evaluation and any redos should be complete.

December 5-January 15: Prepare for presentations.

January 16: Presentation Date.

January 20: IF Presentation was successful: Reflection entry in Journal is due to your Supervising Teacher. (If your presentation included a product that was ‘in-progress’ and you are still working on completion, or you need to redo your presentation, then maintain your journal and write the reflection when all work is finished. Arrange specific due date with your Supervising Teacher.)

January 18-20: Presentation Redos (Reflection entry in your journal is due January 23).

January 20:
All CP work should be complete and turned in to your Supervising Teacher for evaluation if you have not already done so. Students who do not have CP work turned in by this date may need to enroll in a CPO class second semester and redo the entire CP requirement.
 
January 23: First Semester ends. OHS Guide to the Culminating Project 2008-2009
