ADDENDUM PROCESS
Sometimes due to uncontrollable circumstances, students need to focus on something other than what was in their original project proposal. In these cases students must submit an addendum to their proposal, which must be approved before being implemented.
Format:
- The addendum must meet the same requirements as the original project proposal as far as formatting and content (see Component 1, Part 2 for specifics on the Detailed Proposal requirements).
- 1-2 pages in length.
- Same font as your original proposal
Requirements:
The addendum is to include the following information:
- An explanation of the proposed changes to your project and how those changes differ from the original plan.
- An explanation of why these changes are necessary.
- A detailed description of what you plan to do, and evidence that it is comparable in scope to a typical culminating project.
- Attach the Addendum Approval Form (pdf) to the front of your addendum.
Your reasons for changing your project must be very important and/or unavoidable or they will not be approved. Your parent/guardian, faculty advisor, and field expert (if you have one) must approve the addendum before you implement it.
Addenda will not be approved the last 6 weeks of the semester.
