Reflective Paper

After the student has successfully completed the other five components, the student will write a brief paper that looks back on the entire experience. Much of the information will be a written version of the information shared during the presentation.

Format:

  1. Word-processed, double-spaced, 12-point font. Acceptable fonts: Arial, Geneva, Helvetica, or Times.
  2. Proofread and free of spelling and grammatical errors and contractions.
  3. Minimum of 300 words (about one page). 3 page maximum length.

Requirements:

  1. Provide a brief summary of the project and how it was completed.
  2. Describe any job skills required to complete the project.
  3. Provide some examples and explanations of what was learned and its value.
  4. Describe how your prior education and experiences prepared you for the project. i.e. What skills and/or prior knowledge about your project topic did you already possess?
  5. Describe any unexpected aspects of the project and what was learned as a result.
  6. Discuss your overall impressions of the experience.

Each of the above requirements should be covered in 1 or 2 paragraphs.
