Graduation Requirement Credits
Twenty-two (22) credits earned in grades 9 through 12 are required. A credit is defined as 180 fifty-minute hours of classroom instruction. Olympia High School operates on a semester system with a six period day; .50 credit is granted for the successful completion of a semester's work in each class. Required courses:
- English 3.0 (9th, 10th, 11th grade English)
- Mathematics 2.0 (starting with Algebra 1)
- Science 2.0

Social Studies:
Washington State History (If not taken in middle school or in another state)
World History (10th) 1.0
United States History (11th) 1.0 - Senior Social Studies- 1.0 Economics, Psychology, Current World Problems,Sociology, Social Issues or Government & Civics
- Health and Fitness 2.0 (.5 Health and 1.5 Fitness)
- Arts 1.0
- Occupational Education 1.0
- Electives 7.5 (An elective is any course beyond the minimum requriements)
