Trip to Japan

I was fortunate to be chosen by the Japanese Fulbright Memorial Fund committee to travel to Japan in October, 2007, with a group of teachers. For three weeks we studied the culture through travel, lectures and visits to several schools. Below in the links, I have included a journal of the trip along with pictures of our fabulous adventure. I would encourage any interested teachers to apply for this trip; they take two excursions per year with at least two teachers from each state. It was so enjoyable and completely free. I really appreciate Olympia High School and Mr. Grant for allowing me to attend.

About Me

I teach English and reading classes in the Special Services Dept. where I have served for eleven years, and enjoy it very much.

My qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in English from Brigham Young University, and a Master's degree in Recreation Education from there as well.

My husband, Steve, and I have been married for thirty six years, and we have five children. They are all married now, and we have eight grand grandchildren.

In my spare time, I enjoy reading, writing, gardening, sewing and watching the grandkids.
