SENIOR PORTRAITS
TYPE OF PHOTO TO SUBMIT:Color or black & white
HEAD SIZE OF PORTRAIT SUBJECT: 1” TO 1 1/4” (This is very important so the subject fits in the picture box.)
PORTRAIT SIZE: 2 1/2 x 3 1/2 (approximately)
ADDITIONAL SPECIFICATIONS:
• Recent photos only. We no longer accept childhood pictures in place of senior portraits.
• Photographs only
• No drawings or digitally enhanced pictures.
• No props—backgrounds such as fences or trees are okay—hats are okay
• Head shots only. No full body shots.
• Subject must be sitting or standing. We cannot use photos of subjects lying down.
• We happily accept digital seniors pictures, but they must be in jpeg or tiff format.
• The OHS annual staff appreciates each senior submitting a picture that meets the above specifications.
• Snapshots and pictures submitted in alternate formats will be scrutinized for yearbook viability and appropriateness.
• If you do not submit a photo to the annual staff, we will use the picture taken by our school photographer.
If you had your portrait done by a local photographer, they will usually submit the photos to us directly. We will attempt to notify all seniors from whom we do not receive photos. This notification will happen through notes distributed at school. If you are a Running Start or New Market student, we may not be able to contact you, so it will be your responsibility to check with us to see if your picture arrived.
Deadline for submitting senior portraits to annual staff is FRIDAY OCTOBER 19, 2007

Designing ads
• Select ad size
• Type or clearly print your message and/or quote. A font list will be available at the time of purchase.
• Choose the pictures you wish to include.
• Sketch the arrangement of your photos and messages onto a piece of paper. Keep in mind the size of the ad (for 1/2 page ads think horizontal arrangements and for 1/4 & full pages think vertical arrangements).
• Photos can be enlarged or shrunk to fit the desired space. DO NOT CUT OR TRIM YOUR PICTURES! We can crop pictures so only the part you want to see is used.
• ALL photos MUST have your name and address on the back to ensure their return.
• Please provide a self addressed, stamped envelope in which we can return your photos.
• All materials (money, pictures, text) MUST be present at time of purchase. We cannot hold ad spaces for you.
• IF YOU ARE SUBMITTING DIGITAL PHOTOS OR LAYOUTS, THEY MUST BE IN JPEG OR TIFF FORMAT IN ORDER TO WORK WITH OUR PUBLISHING PROGRAM.
