Oct. 9, 2008. OSPI just released the first draft of the new science standards Oct. 6. You will find them at the OSPI website. There is also an opportunity to comment on them until Oct. 17. The link for comments is also on the website.
Oct. 15, 2008 There is a WSTA meeting in Centralia to discuss these new standards. See the attached flyer for further information.
Oct. 16, 2008 I have submitted a request for Staff Development for the opportunity to evaluate these standards in light of our current curriculum. The session will be at Olympia High School after school. Stay tuned for further information Update: This session has been approved for Staff Development or can be paid at curriculum rate.
