Kirkland and Sammamish, WA: nice views, lots of traffic

Spokane, WA: good boating (Lake Roosevelt, Priest Lake), good snow-skiing (Schweitzer)

Albuquerque, NM: beautiful scenery, good training for running: high altitude, the best sunsets, and excellent mexican food

Naperville, IL: (suburb of Chicago) interesting politics, pro sports, lightening bugs

Fun jobs I have had:

West Seattle Bridge Project: early 1980's; designed approach structure foundations

In New Mexico I wrote computer programs to test hardware, like the transfer of data from the CPU to memory.

Kaiser Aluminum: designed software in the materials testing lab, and did process-control programming (C language), which means I programmed the computers that controlled the manufacturing process of making molten aluminum from alumina ore.

OHS: teaching cool students cool technical things

Hobbies: Biking, Hiking, Kayaking, visits to Lopez Island, piano, banjo

My family: My husband Mark works at Alcoa Aluminum

Son Kyle, accountant at Esri, a company that supplies GIS software is married to Kristi, a nurse at Loma Linda Children's Hospital

Son Brett, project engineer at Turner Construction in San Diego is married to Corey, an aquatic scientist (and outrigger canoe champion!)
