Policies
• No credit will be given for late daily work and general homework assignments. If you decide to turn in completed, quality late work, it must be turned in within five calendar days of due date; you will then receive an LW in my grade book (you will not receive credit). In order to have the opportunity for extra credit, you must have all work turned in. If you have one incomplete you will not be eligible for extra credit opportunities.
• Late essays, projects, and other major assignments will be reduced one letter grade for each day late.
• Papers must be turned in regardless of absence. If this is impossible students must leave a message on my voice mail at, 596-7222, or email me at kcostello@osd.wednet.edu.
• If you have extenuating circumstances preventing you from turning in an assignment, please contact me.
Attendance and Tardy Policies
Regular attendance and active participation in daily classroom activities are important factors contributing to success in this class. Students are expected to collect and make-up work missed when absence is excused and unavoidable. Generally, work assigned before the student was absent is due on the day he or she returns to class. Students are allowed one day for each day absent to make up work assigned while absent. It is the student’s responsibility to check the web page to find out what was missed and download any assignments.
Office Hours
I am at Olympia High School 3rd and 5th periods only; if you would like to meet with me outside of class, please talk with me or email me so we can set up an appointment.
Dear Parents/Guardians,
Please include the best way to contact you so we can have open communication, furthering the success of your student. Feel free to contact me at any time to discuss your student. Email is the best way to reach me: kcostello@osd.wednet.edu. My voice mail number is 596-7222.
