September 29-October 1 - Counselor presentation for Senior Social Studies Classes in Career Center
October 7- Senior Parent Meeting 6:30 PM in OHS Commons
This meeting is for all senior parents. Counselors will give important information to senior parents regarding senior year activities and go over college application
and scholarship information.
October 8 - Counselor presentation in 11th Grade English classes to give information about PSAT and future planning.
October 18 - PSAT
October, November, December - Seniors apply to colleges
November 1 - Many colleges will start sending acceptance letters for admissions
November 17 - Financial Aid Night for senior and junior parents; 6:00-7:00 PM at Captial High School Theater
January - Seniors apply for financial aid (FAFSA)
January 23- End of 1st semester
January 26 - Begin 2nd semester
January 30 - Last day to change 2nd semester schedule
February 10 - ASVAB 8:00-11:30
March 10-13 - Middle School Registration
March 16-19 - WASL Writing and Reading
March 26 - 8th grade Parent Night 6:30 PM in PAC
March 31 - College Planning Day for Juniors at SPSCC
April 2 - 8th grade Activity Fair 6:30 PM in Commons
April 13-14 - WASL Math
April 21-21 - WASL Science
May 18 - "Night of Stars"
May 20- Graduation Speaker tryouts (see Mr. Wentz for more information)
June 1 - Senior Banquet
June 5 - Awards Assembly, Annual distribution, Bear Bar-B-Que
June 10 - Graduation
June 15 - Last day of school (unless snow days)
