How is Summer School Funded?
Students pay tuition to participate in the program. Cost for each course
is $175. There must be an average of 24 students per course to cover costs.
Are Scholarships Available?
The Olympia School District may allocate funds for some students who are taking WASL related courses. Reduced tuition amounts will be determined on a sliding scale. If in need, please contact the Coordinator after June 1 for more information.
What are the Attendance Policies?
The Olympia Summer School faculty expects regular and punctual attendance. More than two absences for any reason will cause a student to be dropped from the class. Please note that two tardies equals one absence. Although extenuating circumstances may exist, special arrangements for vacations or camps cannot be made with individual teachers.
What is a Net- Based Course?
Net- based courses combine elements of online independent learning with some class time. Students will spend three hours, two days per week in class. During this in-class time, students will be expected to complete written assignments in combination with online work. Outside of class, students will be expected to complete a pre-determined number of hours logged into the net-based website and to complete written assignments.
What is a School- Based Course?
Each course requires 75 hours of in class instruction time. Most students will attend Monday-Thursday in three hour sessions according to the course selected.

Most classes are Monday- Thursday. The last week classes will meet Monday- Friday.
Placement in a class will be secured when the full tuition is paid and all paperwork is received. First come, first served.

Last day for registration is Tuesday, June 17, 2008. Classes fill quickly and are first paid, first enrolled.

Money will not be refunded for loss of credit due to disciplinary or attendance issues. Students are expected to consistently adhere to summer schoolpolicies.
