Try outs begin the end of February. Playing throughout the winter months is strongly encouraged. I really like to have freshman and sophomore try out. I have a history of cutting a seniors who have not shown improvement to keep a freshman who has potential. Scores needed to make the team vary, but varsity players rarely shot above 44 (keeping accurate score - no mulligans, two strokes for ob, etc.)
