Olympia News Network
ONN is a 30 minute news program produced by students here at OHS as part of a year long course. The show is broadcasted monthly within the school and shown weekly to the Olympia Community over TCTV Channel 3. Show topics include sport & academic news, students & faculty, as upcoming and current events such as assemblies and dances.
The latest ONNs will be encoded in both the older Sorenson codec as well as
the latest MPEG-4 and H264 codec. In order to view ONNS encoded as MP4s
and H264, you will need to download the latest version of Quicktime, at least version 7.x. MP4 and H264 encoding reduces file sizes and is thus, easier to download on slower connections.
Note: To play episodes of ONN, you need to have a connection capible of downloading a 100kb/s stream. Standard connection types that can handle this are a cable modem, network, DSL, or ISDN connection, however you may be able to play these movies with a different type of connection. You also may experience difficulties playing these movies through a firewall. If you're not sure what setup you've got, just give it a try!
